Activated Charcoal comes from hardwood, a renewable resource and there is not a chemical used in the processing of this wonderful powder!
Activated Charcoal is a great binder and detoxifier. It can be used in a stomach poisoning incident, take 1/8 tsp in 8oz of water. This should make you feel better right away. The charcoal will bind to the toxins and then they will be made into waste.
It is also very useful in any bug bite situation, from spider and mosquito bites, to bee stings you can put activated charcoal on your skin and it will pull out the venom.
We like to make homemade toothpaste with Calcium Carbonate (eggshells), baking soda, activated charcoal, and coconut oil. The activated charcoal makes those teeth of yours nice and white!
Be mindful of how much you take. If you take too much on a daily basis and your poo turns black slow it down a bit. An 1/8 of a tsp shouldn’t be too much for daily use, but listen to your body!
